Hello you :), it's me... Mili! - did you know mili means "to meet" or "to find" in Hindi? Nice to meet you!
I'm just another human-being on this beautiful journey called life, navigating it with wonder and a camera in hand. My interest in photography began early on but really sparked when my older sister bought her first DSLR camera in 2011. Naturally I wanted one too, and true to the tale of younger siblings- I did eventually buy my own. Fast forward to 2020, when I moved to a new city during the height of COVID. My camera quickly became my adventurous buddy, supporting me through a period of social distancing and masking, and has remained by my side since.
I find joy in the art of story-telling through the lens of a camera. Photography, to me, is a visual escapade where every millimeter of space and every millisecond in time holds the potential for a unique and captivating story. My favorite types of pictures are those containing an unscripted beauty of candid moments—the genuine laughter, stolen kisses, and lingering gazes that unfold effortlessly. While I'm happy to switch and stage, my priority is ensuring my subjects are their most comfortable, both with me and with themselves. Because let's face it, being photographed can be overwhelming...
I've been there. I know what it feels like.
I truly believe my personal experience has made me a better photographer. My ultimate goal is to create an atmosphere where you feel not only comfortable but also having fun. After all, you can only capture great moments if you're living each moment :).
When I'm not immersed in the world with my camera, you can find me channeling creativity through other outlets such as painting, diving into the pages of a good book, or cuddled up on the couch with my husband, Shiv- my love and light.
